2011, a review. albums.

you may expect me to say wtt straight off. no. let me explain. before i start, the carter IV isn't on the list because it was shit.

10. Meth - when doesn't the KOTG deliver? really?

9. Flockaveli - like him or not, waka made a good album. lyrical? no but it was listenable. shit, the man went number 1 on billboard with a song about getting a blow job from a stripper. if you can make that a hit then your album is going to be listenable and it was. currently everything has been a single from this album i think, ha!

8. Self Made - I'll be honest, if this had been a meek mill EP i'd have been happy. but wale and ricky did their own work too. a rushed project yes, but no bullshit, all hits.

7. Take Care - a good chilled out album, not what people expected but at the same time everything and more.

6. Mood Muzik 4.5 - Mouse made a project and gave it away free. it was better than most other projects this year and years before. in my opinion Joe may well be the best unnoticed rapper ever. his word play and story telling is immense, just see OLS3.

5. 100% Publishing - Wiley made an album in 2 weeks and made grime, good grime. no features, just good music.

4. Cole World - Cole World. still at it, villematic. no matter how you look at it. this project was immaculate. No flaws. the man is the future of rap. he went gold with no commercial single, no promos, no tv appearances, just a fan base. that many fans can't be wrong.

3. Blacks & P - the best album the UK produced this year, period. P Money & Blacks, both came with energy, passion and talent. nothing stopped them. they used great samples from dub and grime. weren't scared about subjects and 'This Way' Freestyle by Blacks is still the best vocal dub track i have ever heard!

2. WTT - Jay Z. Kanye West. the project is exciting. it really is. it is amazing too. theres no flaws. we all quoted it. we all asked why is there a 3 minute pause. we all wanted to skate to one song and one song only. when 'Otis' was released, the internet went HAM (No Pun). then when the album came out and 'Niggas In Paris' was heard worldwide, a hit was made. the album is pretty much timeless.

1. TM103 - eightseventhirtytwo what it do? well, Mr Jenkins made an album, no commercial mind, a raw trap-rap album. 3 years in the making. worth it. great features, great beats and immaculate verses. Jeezy set out to make an album that is like 101 and can be out there to show who he is. this is that and so much more. the stories he tells, even ne-yo gets taken to the trap for this project. absolutely amazing, picking a favourite isnt easy as each track has its own spark, nothing weak about this.
